MTurk, Slide Scanning Pros & Some Wordpress Crud

I recently slid onto Amazon’s Mechanical Turk a bit ago, enticed primarily with HE’s $30 IPv6 HIT. [That was a fun one, thanks to Softlayer for having fully IPv6-enabled NS servers]

There’s a user on MTurk recently aptly named “Image Editing”, posting mostly jobs relating to, you guessed it, image editing. They have a interesting way to find editors eligible, enticing with small funds and a easy job, applying the qualifications to the user if they complete it correctly.

Seems the site behind it is called Slide Scanning Pros – A slide scanning service [heh] with some bonus imaging editing tucked away in there.

Sure would like to see more from them, though their first ‘real work’ HIT was a bit confusing with the description [though their Image Editing page has a slightly confusing selection in any case].

Sidenote, seems that Wordpress is thinking Templates are covered by the GPL now, which is going to cause some drama.
