E-mail bouncing ftl, and Christmas

Wednesday, December 28th, 2005

I just noticed my mail server was bouncing all the local mails. -.- I fixed it for my domain and NDC now. Generally I turned on spf and mx checking to help reduce spam [and it works], just it did it to mails sent from the server too. :P It’s all fixed now.

Anyway.. For christmas I got Ratchet: Deadlocked [for PS2, Online I'm known as Orca], and random stuff. I also got around $400 total from people in the family [yay0rz for the only family member who can fix computers. -.-], And with the $170 I had, I went out on a shopping spree on newegg.com.

Netgear switch acts as a wireless to ethernet bridge [sorta], and also will work as a print server. I’ll be able to setup all my equiptment in my office with that. :)
The ide to sata adapter is for my new mainboard, as the one I had for my pc build [Transphin] was old and impossible to find a processor for [hey.. it was only $30, why I got it originally].
Memory is DDR2 for the new board as well
New wireless router as mine is being really annoying right now and doesn’t natively support WPA, as I’m crazy about security. >.< It’s 802.11g and u [?], and all the cards in the house support 802.11g anyways, so we get a speed boast. Old router was just a 11mbps 802.11b, so it’s all good.
Floppy drive to replace the faceless drive I currently have, woo woo.
Y power splitter for mini-molex [floppy power] so I can power the ide to sata converters. :P
Card reader, why not? Includes extra usb 2.0 port. Now I can read that silly sony MS card stuff for my mom’s camera
Headset, to use with the on-board sound on my mainboard when at lan parties, as well as replace the broken headset for my ps2.. hopefully [probally incompatable.. but I have my tricks]
The new mainboard! Supports Hyper Threading, up to 2.6 GHz and 2 meg cache intel processors, 1 gig lan, 4 sata, 1 ide, 1 floppy, onboard full fan control, pci express 16x, 2 pci express 1x, 4 pci slots, some other random stuff you may not understand, 8 usb 2.0 ports, etc. It’s awsome, and not cheap. I’m a intel guy so I stuck with a intel motherboard, I don’t trust those other brands. :) Also comes with onboard video, which is excellent for onboard video. I got a ati all-in-wonder anyways I use.
And… 1 cpu. This processor sports 3.0 GHz with a 800 MHz FSB, includes 2 Mbs of L2 cache and even sports 64 bit processor directions!

Yep. So lets see… with this stuff I can..
-Complete Transphin
-Fix and Stablize network
-Get the PS2 back online
-Have a desktop pc again

I’m going to be putting the server [MIB00x] in my office, where I can access it more easily… possibly.

And etc.

Total cost of that random stuff [including 2 day shipping], $525.33 USD. Thanks to my family! I love you all!

Ok, bye.

Video Games

Wednesday, December 14th, 2005

Yeah, I play video games sometimes. :) The only online games I’ve played was Microsoft Ants, and Ratchet & Clank 3. I’m waiting for Ratchet deadlocked right now, getting it for Chirstmas.

Anyway.. me and my brother are pretty hard-core when we actually are playing, my brother is able to start out pretty quickly, I take my time learning at the start.

So we were doing a deathmatch last night on R&C3, 20 kills to win, all weapons, unlimited ammo, etc. I’m blue, he’s orange. 1 on 1. Hoven map.

He started off pretty fast, 10 kills while I had 3. After that I begun to drag things out a bit and have him chase me. I’m a pretty good sharpshooter [or hip-snipper as they call them], and I loved mines. So while he attempted to figure out where I was I would snipe at him a bit, and plant mines. Closer range was the shock blaster and occationally more mines. I also used the mini-rocket a bit. Anyway.. After a bit I started to get the upper edge.

After 42 minutes, and 10 seconds, it was finnally over.

Wow that was close, he won 20 to 19.

Yeah.. I need to get some more online games.

Anyway.. lunch now.. Done. Bye.

Internet Privacy Act 1995 (431.322.12)

If you think the Internet Privacy Act 1995 (431.322.12) is real, then read this:

Ok, thanks.

spling decided to move his irc channel to a new server. On the motd [or really, irc news] it had that randomness on it. The server is used for botnets. The irc admins are friendly though. Anyway.. meh. I don’t really like the net much. :P But ok, woo woo.

Bye.

Doing Homework…

Do Not Disturb!

..done!

Spent all day trying to do it, and the past 15 minutes actually doing it. -.-

Anyway… some random code for today..

object object (object object = object) {
object -> object(object);
object = object[object];
object();
}

It’s not valid, just made it to make fun of objects. :> Objects can be anything. :D …because they are.

A function is a object
A varible is a object
You are a object.
Etc.
